We're working with a growing London fit-out contractor who is looking to bring a Junior Technical Services Manager into the business. This is a really good opportunity for someone who has built their experience within mechanical or MEP services and is now looking to make the move into a Technical Services Manager role.
 
You don't necessarily need to already be a TSM.
 
We'd be keen to speak with people currently working as a Mechanical Engineer, MEP Engineer, M&E Manager, Mechanical Site Manager or Subcontractor Site Manager who have strong technical knowledge and want the opportunity to step up and develop on the main contractor side.
 
The role
You'll initially be based on a high-profile commercial fit-out project for a major international banking client in the City of London, which is due to start on site within the next 3-4 weeks. Working alongside an experienced Senior Technical Services Manager and the wider project team, you'll get exposure to the full technical delivery of the scheme and be given the opportunity to develop into a well-rounded TSM.
 
The role will involve:

Supporting the management and coordination of MEP packages from design through to delivery
Working closely with consultants, subcontractors and the internal project team
Reviewing drawings, technical information and design changes
Understanding programme, cost and commercial implications of technical decisions
Managing and coordinating specialist M&E subcontractors on site
Identifying technical issues early and helping drive solutions
Supporting commissioning, testing and project handover
Ensuring services are delivered in line with the design, programme and quality expectations Who we're looking for
Ideally, you'll come from a mechanically biased background, with experience gained within an M&E subcontractor, specialist contractor, consultancy or main contracting environment.
 
We're particularly interested in someone who understands the practical delivery of building services but also wants to develop their knowledge around design, cost, coordination and the wider commercial side of a project.
You might already be working within technical services, or you could be an Engineer / Site Manager who feels ready for that next step.
 
Commercial office fit-out experience would be a big advantage, but we're equally interested in the right person with strong MEP fundamentals and the attitude to learn.
