About the Role:

This exciting opportunity allows a dedicated and tech-savvy Computer Science educator to inspire the next generation of programmers and tech innovators. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating Computer Science lessons across the curriculum, catering to both GCSE and A-Level students.

Key Responsibilities:

  Curriculum Delivery with Industry Relevance:
  
  
  • Design and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons that integrate real-world industry trends and applications.
  
  
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including guest lectures from industry professionals, to provide students with a well-rounded understanding of the field.
  
  
  • Develop students' problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills through practical programming exercises and projects focused on industry-relevant scenarios.
  
  
  • Prepare students for success in GCSE and A-Level Computer Science examinations (if applicable).

The Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified Computer Science Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience (part-time experience may be considered).


• A strong passion for computer science and a demonstrable track record of raising student achievement.


• Excellent subject knowledge across key areas of computer science, including programming languages, algorithms, data structures, and cyber security (as applicable).


• Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons that promote practical learning and industry relevance.


• A commitment to high standards and creating a positive and supportive learning environment.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.


• Experience working with industry partners or demonstrating a passion for fostering such connections (desirable).
