Kitchen Assistant

3 months contract with local authority

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the kitchen staff
  


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas
  


• Wash and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes
  


• Dispose of waste and recycling according to company standards
  


• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations
  


• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  

• Proven experience working in a kitchen environment
  


• Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food handling procedures
  


• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
  


• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
  


• Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
  


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  


• Certification in food handling and safety is a plus
