KITCHEN FITTER 
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £36,750 – £39,990 per year, depending on experience
Shift Uplift: 12.5% (£41,343 – £44,988)
Shift Pattern: 6:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Are you an experienced Kitchen Fitter looking for an opportunity to transfer your skills into the rail industry?
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a highly skilled engineering team in Milton Keynes, working on the complete overhaul of passenger trains.
Your existing experience in installation, assembly and interior fit-out will provide an excellent foundation for working on rail vehicles and installing high-quality passenger interiors.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out the assembly and fitting of components to rail vehicles.
Install and fit interior panels, flooring, seating and other passenger equipment.
Carry out detailed interior fit-out and installation work.
Work from engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.
Use a range of hand and power tools.
Ensure all components are accurately fitted and finished to a high standard.
Complete work in line with quality and safety requirements.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.The Ideal Candidate

You will have previous experience as a Kitchen Fitter with strong hands-on assembly and interior installation skills.

Transferable experience from the following backgrounds would also be considered:

Kitchen fitting
Joinery
Carpentry
Shop fitting
Interior fit-out
Vehicle building or coach building
Manufacturing and assembly
You will have:

Experience using hand and power tools.
The ability to work from drawings and detailed instructions.
Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
Good practical and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including earlies and lates.Essential Criteria
Minimum Level 2 qualification in Kitchen Fitting, Joinery, Carpentry or a relevant discipline.
Full UK driving licence.
Ability to pass a medical and drug & alcohol screening.
