As a Kitchen Team Leader you’ll lead by example making sure every dish leaving the kitchen is top-quality and presented to spec whilst maintaining high kitchen standards so that service runs like clockwork! The Bishops Tavern on Cheltenham Road is a welcoming, friendly pub with a small team who are keen to work together to deliver the best service possible to our customers. We're big on live sport, student quizzes and events and an inclusive, comfortable environment for all. Our food sales are relatively low and so we need an enthusiastic and motivated individual to run our small but mighty pub kitchen solo, dedicated to delivering excellent results whilst becoming an instrinsic, valued member of our lovely team. If you enjoy working independently and love putting care into classic pub food, this could be the perfect fit!

This role requires solo kitchen work and so previous kitchen experience is required and applicants must be over 18.

As a Kitchen Team Leader, you will…

• Run the kitchen solo – from prep to service to cleaning.
• Prepare, cook, and present food that meets specs and customer expectations.
• Maintain hygiene levels and safety regulations in the kitchen to help guarantee the safety of your entire team and visitors.
• Deputise for the management team and resolve any issues that arise in their absence.
• Help organise and manage stock to maintain consistent spec and reduce waste
• Collaborate with the bar team to ensure smooth service

Who we’re looking for...

• Someone reliable, self-sufficient, and calm under pressure
• Experience in a kitchen setting (chef, cook, or kitchen manager)
• Comfortable working alone and managing all aspects of the kitchen
• A passion for honest, hearty food and good pub vibes
