Friendly educational consultants to support and help Job Title: KS1 & KS2 SEN Tutors (Face-to-Face)

Location: Luton & Central Bedfordshire (home, school, or library settings)

Job Type: Part-time / Flexible (multiple positions available)

About the Role:
We are looking for dedicated and experienced tutors to support KS1 and KS2 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Tuition will take place during the school day in a variety of settings, including students’ homes, schools, or local libraries across Luton and Central Bedfordshire.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners who require additional, personalised support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, tailored lessons to KS1 and KS2 students with SEN
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
  • Support students with a range of needs including SEND and SEMH
  • Track progress and provide feedback to parents/carers and relevant professionals
  • Create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
  • Strong understanding of SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching/tutoring experience
  • Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Reliable, patient, and compassionate approach
