Contract Type: Full-Time, 1 Year (Maternity Cover)
Salary: MPS (London Fringe) - £34,397 to £46,838 per annum, dependent on experience
Suitable For: Qualified Teachers (ECTs are unlikely to be considered for this position)

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with an Outstanding primary school in St Albans, Hertfordshire, to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher for a full-time, one-year maternity cover position commencing in September 2026.

This welcoming and highly regarded school, with just under 400 pupils on roll, has built a strong reputation for its inclusive ethos, nurturing environment, and commitment to delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences. The successful candidate will become part of a collaborative and supportive team that is passionate about helping every child achieve their full potential.

The Successful Candidate Will:

Have proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1
Demonstrate a strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Be committed to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil wellbeing
Possess excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
Bring creativity, enthusiasm, and a reflective approach to their teaching practiceThe School Offers:
