Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum


• Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that supports all pupils


• Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform planning and interventions


• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency, share best practice, and contribute to school improvement


• Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing


• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including assemblies, events, and enrichment activities

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)


• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1 or Year 2


• Excellent understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks


• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to the school community
