KS2 Teacher | Inviting school in Havering |September 2024

Our client school is looking for a Year 5 Teacher for a long-term contract in Romford, Havering. As a Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students aged 10-11 and preparing them for their upcoming SATs exams. The successful candidate will join an exceptional team of educators in a supportive and nurturing work environment that values open communication and professionalism.

Year 5 Teacher responsibilities:

• Design and deliver stimulating and engaging lessons that inspire and challenge Year 5 students.

• Plan and organise schemes of work in line with the school's curriculum and national standards.

• Assess and evaluate Year 5 student progress using a range of formative and summative assessment strategies.

• Provide regular feedback to Year 5 students, parents and colleagues on student progress.

• Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

• Communicate effectively with parents, carers and other professionals.

• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences.

Year 5 Teacher requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent qualification

• Up-to-date knowledge of the primary school curriculum and national teaching standards

• At least 2 years' experience teaching Year 5 students

• Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills

• A passion for education and a commitment to student welfare

• An ability to inspire and motivate Year 5 students of all abilities.
