Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and engaging Science curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on expertise and experience. The role entails fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for scientific exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver stimulating Science lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational ethos.


• Create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement, participation, and a sense of wonder about the natural world.


• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth and development.


• Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.


• Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in science education.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, with specialization in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics preferred.


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.


• Demonstrated experience teaching Science at the secondary level.
