KYC Assistant - Immediate Start

Our prestigious banking client is seeking a KYC / Banking Assistant to join them for a temporary 3 month opportunity (may rollover). You will be able to start immediately and ideally be in the bank London office 5 days per week (Mayfair / Marble Arch location)

Job Purpose:

Account opening, amendments and closing, follow up on debit cards/internet banking, AML, and credit tasks.

Responsibilities in the role:

• Account opening: prepare account opening packs, do WorldChecks, risk assessments (personal and corporate), adverse media, prepare and email/post to new customers the bank's welcome letters.
• Perform account remediation inline with FC requirements.
• Help in suffix opening.
• Help in account amendments on DMS.
• Always preserve customers’ confidentiality, paying particular attention to the security of documentation and communications. Also, adherence to instructions for safeguarding information and not disclosing any information about customers to a third party without the customer’s written approval, or otherwise in compliance with legal/statutory requirements.
• Adhere to the bank policies such as Retail Banking SOP and Financial Crime Policies and Procedures.
• Perform duties with reasonable skill and diligence.
• Work closely with relationship managers in other ad-hoc client and bank related tasks.

Qualifications Required:

• University degree

Experience

• At least 2 years of banking experience
• Sound knowledge and understanding of Bank products, CDD requirements, systems, services, and procedures
• Good understanding of cultural sensitivities and issues
• Good communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills
