Lab Assistant

Job Title: Lab Aide within Lab Services Department

Salary: £22,900 - £25,700

A large well-known organisation are looking for someone to join the team. The purpose of the role is to support within the labs by the provision of lean lab glassware plastics and fluids.

As part of the job, the appointed person will be working within a team of assistant and aide's. You will be required to safely handle industrial equipment and assist with the transport of heavy loads.

The typical duties whilst working in this post are (but not limited to):

- Process glassware and plastics through systems involving the use of industrial washing machines

- Collection of dirty glassware

- Provision of sterile water

- Operate and observe primary maintenance of equipment E.G. Autoclaves, drying ovens and industrial washing machines.

No qualifications are needed for this post, however it would be desirable for someone who has possibly studied in a similar field or worked in a similar role.

This is a fully on-site role and it will be working 35 hours per week.

It pays up to £25,744 depending on experience, with 32 days holiday per year plus bank holidays.
