Job Description - Lab Tech

Laboratory TechnicianSalary: £25,000 – £26,000 per annum
Location: King’s Lynn
Standard working hours: 06:00 – 14:30 (Monday to Friday)

We’re currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our clients’ small, friendly laboratory team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with sampling and correct labelling of incoming raw materials
Supporting quality control checks on products during and after manufacture
Recording test results using LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)
Helping to prepare certificates of analysis
Producing small batches of product samples for the sales team
Preparing samples for external laboratory testing
Supporting the label approval process
General housekeeping duties to keep the lab clean, tidy and safe

Candidate Profile:

Ideally educated to A Level standard in Chemistry or a science-related subject, however, Candidates with HNC/HND qualifications or relevant practical experience will also be considered
A basic understanding of chemistry is required – any experience working with chemical mixtures is beneficial, but not essential
Must be a strong communicator and able to work well as part of a team
Should be comfortable working independently once trained
Good numeracy and basic computer skills are essential
Well-organised and able to follow procedures accurately and meet deadlines
