Lab Technician

Our client, an established food manufacturing business, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join their quality team as a Quality Assurance / Lab Technician.

No prior laboratory experience is required for this role, as full training will be provided! If you have a strong eye for detail, a willingness to learn, and a full UK driving license to travel between local sites, this is an excellent opportunity to build a career in a vital, fast-paced industry.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct routine testing on incoming wheat and finished flour to ensure high standards prior to product release.

* Inspect wheat deliveries on arrival, identifying and reporting any quality issues prior to unloading.

* Perform practical laboratory tests on complaint samples and competitor products as needed.

* Carry out routine food safety checks and support the Technical Manager with internal and third-party audits.

* Inspect incoming ingredients and packaging alongside the FSQM, ensuring accurate documentation.

* Check and monitor additive feeder dosage rates on a regular basis.

Candidate Requirements:

* Precise, methodical, and accurate with data entry and record-keeping.

* Enthusiastic attitude with a desire to learn technical laboratory processes (full training provided).

* Must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle to travel between local sites.

* Dependable, adaptable, and proactive in supporting day-to-day operations.
