Make your mark as Laboratory Technician at Gardline!

As part of our expansion, we’re looking for motivated and enthusiastic laboratory technicians to join our busy team here in Great Yarmouth.

This is an important role in the management and testing of soil samples offering you the opportunity to build your knowledge and experience in our busy advanced laboratory environment.

This position is based at our head office in Great Yarmouth therefore you must hold the right to work in the UK and be located in the area.

Your responsibilities

• Take receipt of samples, check against proforma and book into Laboratory system.

• Carry out sub sampling in accordance with test schedule and logging in accordance with relevant standards.
• Become competent in a variety of lab testing (Classification, Chemical, Consolidation, Triaxial and Shear, and Rock Testing)
• Understand the importance of sample handling and storage in accordance with ASTM and ISO standards.

Your qualities and experience

Qualities we are looking for as a laboratory technician are:

• An A level standard in Maths, Physics or Geology or related subject
• Ability to become familiar with testing procedures and standards
• Experience working in a laboratory environment (Desirable)
• A good standard of written and spoken English
• Good level of experience in Excel
• Previous experience working with advanced laboratory systems and machinery

• Where you will work: Your office location will be based in Endeavour House, Admiralty Road, Great Yarmouth NR30 3NG.
• Fulltime job: The position of laboratory technician is fulltime working 37.5 hours a week.
