Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Container Unloader to join our warehouse team. This role involves efficiently unloading containers, handling materials, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess relevant warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate equipment such as forklifts. Responsibilities

* Safely unload containers using appropriate equipment, including forklifts and manual handling techniques

* Assist in the organisation and storage of incoming goods within the warehouse

* Operate warehouse management systems to record inventory movements accurately

* Handle materials with care, ensuring items are moved without damage

* Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to health and safety standards

* Collaborate with team members to coordinate shipping and receiving activities

* Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency

* Conduct routine checks on equipment such as forklifts and report any mechanical issues promptly

Qualifications

* Prior warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in shipping & receiving or materials handling roles

* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently

* Familiarity with warehouse management systems is beneficial for accurate inventory control

* Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure accurate unloading and storage processes

* Physical fitness to handle long periods of standing and manual material handling tasks

* Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills
