LabVIEW Test Engineer

Location: Brighton | Onsite

A growing technology business based in Brighton is looking for an experienced LabVIEW Test Engineer to join its Development team.

The LabVIEW Test Engineer will play an important role in supporting the quality and reliability of existing and new electronic hardware products. The position will involve developing, deploying and maintaining production test equipment, alongside supporting manufacturing teams with fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Develop, deploy and maintain production test systems using LabVIEW and JTAG Boundary Scan technology.

  Create and maintain automated test equipment for new and existing electronic hardware products.

  
  


• 
  

  Support Manufacturing Engineers with production fault reports, carrying out detailed fault finding down to component level.

  
  


• 
  

  Develop and maintain test plans, procedures and validation documentation.

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with hardware and software engineering teams to deliver new product development projects.

  
  


• 
  

  Translate internal design requirements into effective test solutions.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain existing test equipment and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.

  
  

Experience and Skills Required

• 
  

  Several years' experience developing production test solutions within an electronics manufacturing environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience developing and deploying standalone applications using LabVIEW.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience developing and maintaining automated test systems, test plans and validation documentation.

  
  


• 
  

  Good understanding of electronics and test jig development.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience in electronics troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.

  
  


• 
  

  Working knowledge of Linux operating systems.

The successful LabVIEW Test Engineer will have a methodical approach to problem solving, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage their own workload. They will be comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
