Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join a growing Land Team as a Land Assistant.
You will be supporting the Land Team with the research, identification, appraisal and acquisition of new development opportunities, while developing knowledge of the regional land and wider housebuilding market.
Main Responsibilities
* Assist with the identification and appraisal of potential land opportunities.
* Carry out regular land and market studies.
* Maintain accurate records of land opportunities and market activity.
* Research land ownership, planning history and site constraints.
* Support the preparation of site appraisals, land offers, approval papers, viability assessments and reports.
* Assist with the coordination of planning, technical and legal due diligence.
* Attend site visits and assist in assessing development potential.
* Support negotiations with landowners and agents.
* Monitor local plans and emerging planning policies.
* Develop knowledge of the regional land market and build a professional network.
* Provide general administrative support to the Land and Planning Team as required.

* Strong interest in property, land development and the construction industry.

* Confident, proactive and commercially minded.
* Strong willingness to learn and develop.
* Numerate and comfortable working with data and financial information.
* Ability to research and gather information quickly and effectively from a range of sources.
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable qualifications:
* Qualification or degree in Real Estate, Planning, Property or a related discipline.
* Previous experience or internship within property, estate agency, planning or development.
* Basic understanding of the UK planning system.
