We're recruiting on behalf of a 5-star rated national housebuilder for an ambitious Land Buyer to join their team in the Ipswich area. This is an excellent opportunity to build your career with one of the UK's most successful and respected residential developers.

The role
As Land Buyer, you'll be responsible for identifying and securing new land opportunities, supporting the wider land and planning teams, and helping to maintain a strong pipeline of development sites. You'll work across the full acquisition process, from initial search through to internal approval.

Key responsibilities include:

• Sourcing and appraising both short-term and strategic land opportunities

• Managing the land acquisition process with internal teams

• Building strong relationships with agents and landowners

• Preparing development appraisals and viability assessments

• Undertaking market research to support acquisition decisions

• Writing reports and presenting sites for internal sign-off

• Maintaining high standards of professionalism with all external contacts

What we're looking for:

• Experience in land buying or a related role in residential development

• Good understanding of planning processes and development appraisals

• Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

• Relevant degree (or equivalent) in property, planning, or a related field

• IT literate (particularly Microsoft Office)

• Full UK driving licence

• Proactive, commercially focused, and able to work independently
