Land Freight Operator

Noble Recruiting are currently recruiting a confident and experienced Land Freight Operator to join our friendly and proactive Client in Wythenshawe, Manchester.

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Permanent, Full-time position (Monday – Friday 08:30 – 5:30)

Your responsibilities include:

• Assist the Land Freight Operations Supervisor Manchester in the execution of their duties in support of the Head of Operations Land Freight North’s vision of the company to become more competitive and profitable. Ensure all customers and clients are invoiced correctly and on time in conjunction with SOPs.
• Ensure all duties/VAT is charged correctly upon invoicing and collect any monies due in line with SOPs.
• Complete all import/export activities and documentation correctly and on time.
• Ensure all other operational activities are completed on time including preparing spot quotations, raise jobs, liaise with overseas offices/clients and raise delivery orders.
• Scrutinise all documentation for accuracy, authorise and pass for payment all invoices on time.
• Maintain excellent customer and inter-departmental relationships including assisting with client audits, inspection and collections and liaising with sales.

You will need:

• Confident and outgoing individual.
• 1 or more years’ experience as a Land Freight Operator or in a similar role – must have Road Freight experience)
• Conversant in IT skills e.g., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and CRM systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise own workload but also be able to work as part of a team.
• Be able to organise and multi-task.
• Good time management skills.
• Driver with own transport is desirable.
• UK resident and the right to work in the UK.
