About Hobs
Since 1969, Hobs has been at the forefront of the UK reprographics industry. From a five-person print shop in Liverpool, we’ve grown into the country’s largest independent print network, with 17 branches across the UK.
We work with clients across architecture, engineering, construction, design, retail, education and the public sector, producing everything from technical drawings and everyday print to large-format exhibition graphics.

The Role
We’re looking for a Large Format Print Operator to join our Bristol team on our evening shift, working 3:30pm until Midnight.
Working alongside another member of the team, you’ll play an important part in making sure customer orders are produced accurately, efficiently and to the high standards Hobs is known for.
You’ll work closely with our Production team to organise and plan workloads, as well as communicating with the day team to ensure a smooth handover between shifts.
Ideally, you’ll have at least one year’s experience within large format print, but this isn’t essential. If you have the right attitude, an eye for detail and a willingness to learn, we’d still love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
* Creating, importing and pre-pressing files using PrintFactory
* Printing using large-format flatbed and roll-fed printers
* Laminating and finishing large-format work
* Organising print workloads alongside the Production team
* Cutting, weeding and applying cut vinyl graphics
* Operating equipment including Zünd G3 L-2500, Arizona 480 GT, Colorado 1650 M5 and Summa S160
* Ensuring every job is completed accurately and to a high standard
* Communicating effectively with the day team to ensure seamless shift handovers
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, organised and takes real pride in the quality of their work.
You’ll ideally have:
* Previous large-format print experience, although this isn’t essential
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Confidence working to tight deadlines in a busy environment
* A practical, flexible approach to solving problems
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
