Manual Lathe Operator
Location: Halesowen
Hours: 38 hours per week. Double Day shift.
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 including shift allowance.

We are pleased to be recruiting for a manual lathe operator for my Halesowen based client who is one of the market leaders in the heavy engineering sector.

The successful manual lathe operator will have the following experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience as a manual lathe operator or machinist.
Exposure to understanding and following basic CNC programs. (Siemens preferred).
Working from engineering drawings to plan out how to most effectively machine each component.
Use of overhead cranes though training will be provided.
General preventative maintenance such as swarf removal and coolant checks.
Checking and inspection of own work at beginning, in process and completion of work.
Working to master route cards and required specifications.
Worked in a heavy engineering environment.

The ideal candidate:

A recognised apprenticeship or equivalent relevant experience.
A logical and analytical approach
Good attention to detail.
Ability to work independently.
