We are currently looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to join a leading provider of analytical instrumentation based in the UK to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will embody both technical expertise and commercial acumen, working closely with colleagues across sales, service, and marketing to deliver tailored analytical solutions that meet customer needs. The successful candidate will be pivotal in driving revenue growth and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction through technical demonstrations, strategic planning, and ongoing support.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the LCMS/MALDI Technical Sales Specialist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
Drive the growth and sales of the company's mass spectrometry instruments, including LC-MS/MS, HRMS, and MALDI solutions, achieving or exceeding revenue targets. Provide technical expertise during pre-sales discussions, evaluating customer requirements, proposing suitable solutions, and managing the sales process from lead qualification to closure. Collaborate with internal teams such as service, product specialists, and marketing to support customer projects and deliver effective demonstrations. Prepare and execute business plans, territory strategies, and reports, including tender documents and tailored solutions for clients. As the Technical Sales Specialist, you will deliver engaging presentations at customer sites and industry events, showcasing the capabilities of the company's technology.ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the LCMS/MALDI Technical Sales Specialist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
A Degree or higher level in scientific disciplines such as chemistry, analytical chemistry, pharmacy, biochemistry, or a related field. Proven technical knowledge and practical experience in solution selling, particularly with LC-MS systems and mass spectrometry applications. Hands-on laboratory experience in chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques. Willingness to travel regularly within the territory, including occasional international travel, and hold a valid driver’s license.WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
