Job Title: LCV Technician
Location: Birmingham
Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 (DOE)

Overview for the LCV Technician
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Skilled or Semi-Skilled LCV Technician to join our team, working on a variety of light commercial vehicles including vans, minibuses, and fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair, with either full qualifications or hands-on experience in a workshop environment.

What the LCV Technician will do:

Replace or repair tyres, exhaust systems, clutches, brake pads, and other worn parts
Conduct pre-MOT checks and prepare vehicles for MOT tests
Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance on LCVs in line with manufacturer and industry standards
Assist skilled technicians with more complex repairs and diagnostics where required
Always adhere to workshop health and safety procedures and best practices

Key skills and requirements of the LCV Technician:

Previous experience working on light commercial vehicles (essential)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance ort time served
Basic diagnostic knowledge and ability to use relevant tools and software
Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge (especially for semi-skilled candidates)
