We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to take on the role of Head of Psychology. You will inherit a department with strong student interest and have the opportunity to build upon its success, driving further development and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide effective leadership and management for a well-established and popular Psychology department.


• Build upon the existing strengths of the department and identify areas for further growth and student engagement.


• Support and develop the expertise of the Psychology teaching team (if applicable).


• Ensure the curriculum remains relevant, engaging, and challenging at GCSE and A-Level.


• Maintain excellent standards of teaching, learning, and assessment.


• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.


• Degree in Psychology.


• Significant experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and A-Level, with demonstrable leadership experience in a successful department.


• Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.


• Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment in Psychology.


• Excellent communication, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
