Lead Control & Instrument Engineer | FEED | Offshore Energy | Norwich (Hybrid - 3 days on site)
I'm currently supporting a specialist offshore engineering organisation in their search for an experienced Lead Control & Instrument Engineer to lead the control and instrumentation engineering and design delivery of a Minimum Facilities Jacket Platform FEED project based in Norwich.
This role will suit a senior C&I professional with a strong background in offshore engineering, control and instrumentation systems, FEED execution and multidisciplinary project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate Control & Instrumentation engineering activities throughout the FEED phase
Act as the Design Authority for Control and Instrumentation, providing technical direction across project scopes
Develop engineering deliverables including specifications, data sheets, drawings, calculations and technical reports
Lead the design of instrumentation, process control, Fire & Gas, Emergency Shutdown and Safety Instrumented Systems
Coordinate design reviews and ensure compliance with relevant industry, project and company standards
Interface with Project Managers, multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, vendors and subcontractors
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 10 years' experience within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or a similar process industry
Proven experience in instrumentation, control and safety systems design
Strong experience delivering engineering project scopes and multidisciplinary projects
Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems and IEC 61508/61511, including TUV or similar accreditation
Strong knowledge and practical application of DSEAR and ATEX requirements
HND or equivalent qualification in Instrumentation, Control Engineering or a related discipline
Desirable:
Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
15+ years' experience within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or a similar industry
Experience working on or with top-tier COMAH sites
Experience providing construction, installation and commissioning support
Previous experience delivering offshore FEED and detailed design projects
This is an excellent contract opportunity to play a key role in a significant offshore FEED project, working with a collaborative and experienced multidisciplinary engineering team Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
