Rate: £50 - £60 per hour (dependent on experience)

About the Role: Our client is seeking Lead Civil Engineers to join their Delivery group, working on non-infrastructure UK water engineering projects. You will act as a technical specialist and/or in a lead role, developing and applying advanced engineering techniques, while guiding project teams to deliver high-quality outputs.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide guidance on design guides, standards, systems, and engineering codes. Prepare calculations and develop civil engineering deliverables (models, drawings, reports) within budget, schedule, and quality standards. Mentor and develop junior staff while promoting continuous improvement. Coordinate with internal and external teams on complex projects. Develop recommendations for materials, construction techniques, and project specifications. Serve as a technical specialist providing advice and guidance to project teams. Ensure compliance with all health & safety duties of designers.
What Our Client is Looking For:
Civil Engineering design and/or hydraulics/structural background. Experience in design and build, particularly non-infrastructure water/wastewater treatment works. Proven ability to lead and manage a multidisciplinary team (civil, structural, geotechnical, hydraulics). Strong interpersonal skills to interface across disciplines and deliver engineering outputs efficiently.
