This role will see the successful candidate operate a range of 3-axis CNC machines to produce precise components for the Aerospace industry. This will include CADCAM programming and close liaison with the Engineering Manager.

Previous experience within a similar working environment is essential, and the ability to programme or previous experience with Heidenhain controls is advantageous.

The Role:

Set, operate and programme 3-axis CNC milling machines, including CADCAM programming when required.
Work closely with the Engineering Manager to coordinate workloads, assist with production scheduling, and prioritise jobs
Support, mentor and develop younger members of the machining team, sharing knowledge and improving technical skills.
Identify and implement improvements to machining methods, programming strategies, tooling, and work holding to increase productivityThe Person:
