Lead C#/.NET Desktop Engineer – Sheffield (Hybrid Remote) - £65k

Ada Meher is partnering with a SaaS company based in Sheffield who are looking for a Lead Desktop Engineer, with strong experience in C#/.NET, to join their multi-disciplined & distributed engineering team working on their suite of software products. They are in the process of modernising their existing codebase, with a view to then developing some new key features, and are looking for a candidate to line manage a small team (2-3 engineers) to help realise this.

The successful candidate will be working on codebases using low-level and real-time programming techniques to co-ordinate roughly 30-40 technical components which bring their unique video streaming software product offerings to life. These components span across both hardware and software creating a challenging but rewarding technical solution which is constantly being updated and improved. The ideal candidate will have experience in C# and common systems development techniques as well as ideally and understanding of multi-threading and WPF. They will also be comfortable challenging the status quo and motivating a small team to change and improve processes.

You can expect to meet up in the office every couple of weeks, but working predominantly from home. Candidates must be based in the UK with full RTW.

To Be Considered:

- Demonstrable experience in C#/.NET Engineering on Desktop Apps
- Experience with line management of a small team
- Strong experience in Testing and other quality measures
- Knowledge of Multi-Threading and Real-Time Programming techniques
- Experience with WPF/Winforms
