Overview

As a Lead Delivery Driver, you will be essential in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of parcels across designated routes. In this role, you will lead a team of drivers, coordinating daily delivery operations while upholding our high service standards for both internal processes and client expectations.

This position demands strong organisational skills and excellent customer service abilities, as well as a steadfast commitment to safety and compliance. You will be expected to lead by example, demonstrating a "do it right the first time" approach and sharing best practices with your team. Your role as a hands-on mentor will be critical in fostering a culture of excellence, encouraging your team to achieve their goals and enhance overall performance.

As a Lead Multi-Drop Delivery Driver, you will represent b-spokes in every interaction, serving as the face of our company. Your role involves collaborating closely with both internal teams and clients to ensure that we not only meet but exceed operational excellence, fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional service at every touchpoint.

Lead Driver Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Supervise and support a team of delivery drivers, providing guidance and training to ensure optimal performance.
• Route Management: Plan and optimise delivery routes to maximise efficiency and meet delivery deadlines.
• Customer Interaction: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing any inquiries or issues that may arise during deliveries.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among Drivers.
• Performance Monitoring: Track delivery performance metrics, providing feedback and support to drivers to achieve targets and improve service quality.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months of experience in a similar delivery driver role.
• Prior experience in training or mentoring other delivery drivers.
• Strong knowledge of delivery processes, time management, and certain geographical areas.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train and mentor new drivers.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and solve problems on the go.
