Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join the team.

Location: Manchester, hybrid
Salary: £55,000 - 65,000+ per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 per week (flexi time available)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Lead Electrical Design Engineer – The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical management of engineering projects, ensuring the delivery of cost-effective and timely design solutions.

Lead Electrical Design Engineer - Key Responsibilities:

- Lead technical project delivery in line with customer requirements, internal procedures, and project timelines

- Act as the technical point of contact for stakeholders and manage all technical communications

Coordinate and guide engineering resources (electrical, mechanical, and other disciplines) across assigned projects

- Conduct site surveys (as required), ensuring compliance with health and safety standards

- Manage and respond to client technical queries and oversee all formal drawing submissions

- Produce and issue various technical documents

- Liaise with the manufacturing team during the build phase and support testing activities

- Contribute to tenders and provide technical support to the sales team where needed

Lead Electrical Design Engineer - You:

- Proven experience in technical project management

- Ability to produce electrical design drawings

- Strong stakeholder communication and people management skills

- Excellent attention to detail and time management

- Motivated and able to motivate others

- HNC/HND qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
