Lead Electrical Design Engineer

Hays Engineering are working with our client in Cookstown who are looking to add a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to their team due to growth. You will be joining a long‑established engineering organisation, recognised for providing innovative, industry‑leading solutions to clients across the UK, Ireland and international markets. Your new role

Support the full project lifecycle, from initial specification and design through to installation and commissioning.
Design MCC and Switchgear electrical system architecture, specifying equipment such as motors, MCCs, instrumentation, and PLCs.
Produce MCC and Switchgear electrical schematics, installation diagrams, and equipment schedules.
Deliver electrical designs for power, water, and wastewater projects in line with client requirements and relevant standards.
Liaise and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
Ensure compliance with ISO quality and environmental procedures, as well as all health and safety regulations.
What you'll need to succeed

An electrical/electronic engineering qualification.
Experience using AutoCAD/E Plan or similar.
Previous electrical design experience desirable.
