Location: London or Southampton (Hybrid)
Full time - Permanent
Salary: c£75,000 - £80,000 + Benefits

Our client is a growing engineering business developing advanced technologies for the maritime sector. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to take ownership of electrical and control system design across a range of innovative projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation where you will play a key role in delivering complex engineering solutions from concept through to commissioning.

The Role

Lead the design and development of electrical and control systems.
Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, calculations and technical documentation.
Specify and integrate PLCs, HMIs, drives, instrumentation and power distribution equipment.
Ensure designs meet relevant industry and regulatory standards.
Support testing, commissioning and system integration activities.
Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers. 
About You

Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience in electrical design within marine, offshore, industrial or similar engineering environments.
Strong knowledge of power distribution, automation and control systems.
Experience with PLCs and industrial control hardware.
Familiarity with electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
