The Electrical Systems function is responsible for defining and delivering the electrical infrastructure that underpins the SMR power station. Electrical Systems Analysis plays a critical role in supporting concept development, design maturation and technical assurance across the plant lifecycle.
As a Lead Engineer – Electrical Systems Analysis, you will provide technical expertise across the lifecycle of electrical systems, with a particular focus on leading system studies and defining analysis methods to support robust engineering decisions.
You will develop and apply electrical system models, performing both static and dynamic studies to assess system performance and support concept selection, design development and substantiation. Your work will directly support verification, technical assurance and safety case activities through the production of clear, defensible technical evidence.
This role operates as a technical leadership position within the Electrical discipline, providing guidance, oversight and coaching to engineers while contributing to multidisciplinary design integration across the SMR programme.

Experience within nuclear is beneficial; however, candidates from other highly regulated industries such as Defence, Aerospace, Rail, Automotive or Oil & Gas are equally encouraged.

Derby, Manchester or Warrington.
The salary band for this role will be between £60,000 – £78,750 dependent on the skills, values and knowledge you bring. There may be flexibility in exceptional cases, reflecting the technical depth and leadership responsibility of the role.
