Job description:
Salary & Benefits: Salary range £44,520-£55,650 per annum dependant on experience, annual performance bonus, attractive pension scheme (Up to 10% company contribution), life assurance cover of 4 times pensionable salary and 25 days annual leave, 8 x bank holidays plus a wellness day and development opportunities in line with the Internal Communications & Change Advisor progression plan. Location: Bradford/ Hybrid Working (typically 1-2 days in the office per week)

Work type: Temporary role for 6 x months, full time working 37 hours per week, Monday

Friday between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Internal Communications & Change Advisor to join the Internal Communications team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Just like our customers, our colleagues have increasing expectations of us and, in this role, youll be supporting our Internal Communications and Engagement team in telling our story and making sure we say it in the right way, to the right people, at the right time. Youll have a key part to play as we continue our work towards improving what we do and how we do it across all corners of the business, working with key stakeholders at all levels and aligning communications and engagement plans on all the great stuff were working on.

Where you fit in:

As our Lead Internal Communications & Change Advisor you will

Be the strategic lead and accountable for communications and engagement plan for business wide change programmes (including technology and process changes)
Work closely with our business and people change teams to plan and deliver engagement activity to improve the colleague change experience
Manage a small team of internal communications experts to be their best and support business outcomes through effective content and measurable communications plans
Establish a measurement strategy to improve how we track and measure the success of our communications around change activity
Develop and maintain strategic stakeholder maps for central engagement and change activity
Coordinate effective measurement and reporting of communications and engagement activity in our business change programmes
Own and develop our colleague segmentation project alongside our Engagement specialist to support a desired audience outcome
Maintain effective relationships between our business change team and the internal communications team, improving our ways of working and governance processes to improve the effectiveness of how we deliver informative and engaging communications that supports and embeds change
Own the forward plan across multiple change programmes to ensure were speaking to the right people, at the right time and in the right way
Be a key liaison in the relationship with our creative agencies to manage workloads and project spend
Work with our Engagement Advisor to develop our engagement channel and activity framework to successfully address our current engagement and change challenges
Manage relationships with stakeholders at a senior and local level
Develop your team members to be their best, including setting goals, managing plans and more

What skills & qualifications you will need:

Significant experience as an internal communications professional
Highly experienced in managing and delivering strategic communications plans around change and transformation projects
Ability to develop and maintain effective internal relationships at all levels, especially with senior leaders and also be able to influence decisions and build relationships at all levels of the organisation
Passionate about leading others with an ability to lead and inspire others through development and trusted relationships
Dedicated to maintaining a high standard of work and the ability to take the initiative, be proactive and to take decisions on prioritising workload for themselves and their team. Also able to work under pressure, with excellent skills in planning and prioritisation.
Highly experienced in measuring and reporting communications and engagement activity and experience of engagement strategy development, planning and delivery
A proven track record of delivering effective internal communications and engagement campaigns with significant results, especially around changes
Excellent skills in relation to internal channels and content publishing
Excellent knowledge of a range of listening and analytical tools
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to use Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Ability to develop personal skills whilst supporting team growth
Highly experienced in creative writing and proof-reading
A thorough understanding of what great communications and engagement looks like with a track record in achieving positive outcomes for audiences and a creative mind that can improve how we communicate and engage different audiences
We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of 1-2 days in the office per week. This could be slightly more when collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines demand it. For those who prefer to work on-site, our office is open Monday-Friday during working hours.
