Lead iOS Engineer

Reed Technology is working with a Glasgow based company, as they look to add a Lead iOS Engineer, to join a team developing real-time communication apps and accessibility solutions that make a real difference for people worldwide.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design, development, and testing of high-performance, high-quality video communication applications for iOS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal user experience.
• Drive innovation by delivering solutions that enhance application performance, usability, and alignment with the needs of our target customer segments.
• Oversee vendor relationships, managing third-party delivery to ensure quality and timeliness, while maintaining strong collaboration and accountability.
• Mentor and coach team members across the Technology department, fostering a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements:

• Strong iOS development background with proficiency in Objective-C and Swift.
• Experience building applications from the ground up, including full involvement in ideation, architecture, and implementation.
• Exposure to SIP, WebRTC, and other modern communication technologies is highly desirable.
• Experience with C++ is a strong advantage.
• Native Android development experience is a plus.
