Lead Engineer | Java & TypeScript £85k + 10–20% bonus + pension | Bristol or Edinburgh (hybrid)

We are looking for a Lead Java Engineer, who will be mostly hands on working on customer-facing solutions to improve the user experience. You will also mentor junior team members and helping guide the team’s practices.

As a Lead Engineer, you’ll help shape a new product team building systems that connect with dealers, service providers, and fleet managers. You’ll stay hands-on with Java, React, Microservice and TypeScript while guiding architecture, mentoring engineers, and shipping impactful features.

Tech stack: Java (Spring Boot), React, TypeScript, AWS, PostgreSQL. Team setup: 6 engineers + QA, Product Owner, Analyst. Work mix: 70% backend, fullstack mindset welcome, and tiny bit of design, architecting and mentoring involved.
