The Role:

Responsibilities:
Lead a team of approximately six software engineers, empowering them to excel.
Provide technical mentorship and guide engineers' career development.
Plan and delegate tasks, ensuring clear ownership and project success.
Champion the hiring process, representing their mission and culture to potential candidates.
Onboard new team members and ensure a smooth integration.
Conduct regular team meetings, one-on-ones, and performance reviews.
Set and track goals for individuals and the team, providing constructive feedback.
Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency.
Communicate effectively across all levels, keeping everyone informed about progress and challenges.
Mitigate risks and ensure project success.
Report progress and achievements to the Engineering organization.

Are You a Fit?
You have 5 years of experience leading software engineering teams.
You possess a strong technical background and can provide guidance to engineers.
You come from a software engineering background (ideally Java).
You are a passionate and inspiring leader who thrives in a collaborative environment.
You have excellent people management skills and a commitment to professional development.
You are a strong communicator and can effectively represent the team's progress and challenges.
