We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Competent Watch Manager - Operational Lead Service Trainer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of trainers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality training programs that meet the evolving needs of our service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of trainers, setting clear expectations and providing effective guidance and support.


• Training Delivery: Deliver engaging and effective training sessions, ensuring compliance with national standards and best practices.


• Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of training curriculums, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant.


• Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain robust quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of training delivery.


• Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.


• Operational Competence: Maintain a high level of operational competence and ensure that your team is equipped to deliver realistic and challenging training scenarios.


• Project Management: Contribute to L&D projects and initiatives as required.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in training and assessment within the fire service.


• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.


• Excellent communication and presentation skills.


• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.


• Strong organisational and time management skills.


• Relevant training and assessment qualifications.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in managing and developing teams.


• Knowledge of current fire service regulations and standards.


• A passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
