Lead Operative (Food Manufacturing)

The Lead Operative is responsible for supporting safe, efficient, and compliant production operations within our clients Food Manufacturing Business.
This role ensures raw materials and finished goods are handled correctly, food safety and quality standards are met, production targets are achieved, and operational documentation is completed accurately.
The Lead Operative also provides day-to-day operational leadership and supports continuous improvement across production activities including Day-to-day operation of the Blenders and a bulk filling line whilst acting as a point of support for production teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Operational & Production Responsibilities

• Inspect, receive, and store raw materials in line with company procedures.
• Identify, report, and communicate any raw material or packaging issues promptly.
• Safely store and load finished goods in a timely manner.
• Operate, clean, and maintain machinery to pre-determined efficiency and output targets, always ensuring operational safety.
• Operation of various key machinery to achieve targets.
• Produce stock to agreed output rates and quality standards.
• Complete “Goods In” processes, including quality, integrity, quantity, and vehicle checks.
• Comply fully with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) as determined
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and legality standards at all times.
• Complete all food safety, quality, and legality checks and associated documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain hygiene standards across all areas of the site, as outlined by site leadership.

Skills & Experience
• Experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety, quality, and GMP standards.
• Ability to lead by example and support team development.
• Competent in completing production and quality documentation.
• FLT licence essential.

These positions are offered on a temp to perm working arrangement and a permanent assignment basis could be on offer after 12 weeks of working on the agency
