The job you’ll do:

* A hands-on Lead Engineering role diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy plant equipment.

* Provide expert technical support to the engineering team and act as the main Technical specialist

* Training and mentoring younger team members

* Diagnosing and repairing diesel-based systems

* Attending escalated issues at customer sites as required (on average once per week, primarily at sites in the North East)

About you:

* Experience working with a wide range of heavy plant equipment/machinery.

* Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above in a relevant engineering discipline (plant maintenance, land-based engineering etc.)

* Knowledge in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues.

* Expertise in diagnosing and repairing diesel-based systems

* Knowledge of fabrication is desirable

* Strong diagnostic skillset across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.

* Ability to work independently and make confident technical decisions

* Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in being part of a winning team
