Lead Portfolio Manager - Digital Railway / ETCS
Location: Kings Cross (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Contract: 12 months
Rate: £527/day Umbrella
IR35: Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Lead Portfolio Manager to support a major digital railway programme, helping deliver the national rollout of European Train Control System (ETCS) technology across passenger fleets.

The role will focus on managing and coordinating onboard fitment projects, ensuring successful delivery across scope, cost, programme and governance requirements. You will work closely with train operators, rolling stock owners, government stakeholders and supply chain partners to support fleet readiness and digital railway deployment.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience managing complex rail projects or programmes
Experience delivering ETCS, digital railway technology or rolling stock modification projects
Strong stakeholder management skills across the rail industry
Experience with project governance, assurance, procurement and delivery frameworks
Understanding of rail safety standards, CDM and CSM requirements desirableThis is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a strategically important programme shaping the future of UK rail.
