About The Role:

In this role, you will lead the engineering efforts for key products, collaborate closely with product and design teams, and directly manage one Graduate CAD Engineer. You will spearhead the development of innovative product features, drive technical excellence, and mentor a small but impactful team.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership;

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable product features.
• Set the technical direction and architecture for projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct product reviews, establish best practices, and ensure code quality and maintainability.

Team Management;

• Mentor and manage one direct report, providing regular feedback, support, and development opportunities.
• Support performance reviews, goal-setting, and career development.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.

Product Collaboration;

• Work closely with key stakeholders including Procurement and Sales to shape product direction and priorities.
• Translate business and customer needs into technical requirements and solutions.

Project Execution;

• Own timelines, technical risk mitigation, and delivery of key initiatives.
• Monitor progress and ensure high-quality releases on schedule.

Skills, knowledge + experience:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 1 year in a technical leadership or team lead role.
• Strong proficiency in Solidworks
• Proven track record of building and delivering successful products.
• Experience mentoring or managing engineers, even in a small team setting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications:

• A degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline or equivalent
