MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading food manufacturing business to recruit a Lead Reliability Engineer to join their Engineering team on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Reliability Engineer or Engineering Leader to take ownership of site-wide reliability, asset performance and continuous improvement within a large-scale food manufacturing environment.
Working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations and Planning teams, you will lead reliability initiatives designed to improve equipment availability, reduce downtime and optimise asset performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop the Reliability Engineering team.
* Develop and implement proactive, predictive and condition-based maintenance strategies.
* Analyse downtime and equipment performance data to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
* Drive reliability and asset care improvements across the site.
* Support planned maintenance, engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Monitor key engineering performance metrics including OEE, MTBF and MTTR.
* Lead cross-functional reliability reviews and improvement projects.
* Manage contractor and OEM support where required.
* Oversee asset care documentation, PM reviews, calibration and equipment assessments.
* Identify training and development requirements within the Reliability team.
What We’re Looking For:
* HND or above in Engineering, ideally Mechanical, Electrical or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in reliability, maintenance or engineering within FMCG, food manufacturing or a similar environment.
* Experience leading engineering teams, projects or reliability initiatives.
* Strong understanding of CMMS, asset management and engineering performance metrics.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong leadership, coaching and influencing abilities.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Desirable:
* Experience with reliability methodologies such as RCM, FMEA or TPM.
* NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
* Experience managing contractors and OEMs.
* Experience within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
* CAD experience.
