Lead Software Engineer

Our client is a leading UK-based consultancy firm specializing in pensions, investments, benefits. with experience as Lead or Principal Developers. Ideal candidates will have a pragmatic yet organised approach to software design and development.

Job Specification
Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to build, test, and maintain software applications and services.
Design and implement systems using .NET and Microsoft Azure.
Engage with expert groups to refine best practices and experiment with new techniques.
Mentor and coach less experienced team members based on experience.
Requirements
Proficient in object-oriented development, primarily with C# .NET solutions.
Experience with Microsoft development stack and Azure Cloud, including:
ASP.NET & ASP.NET Core
Web services, service-oriented architectures, microservices
CQRS, RESTful APIs
SQL Server/Transact SQL
Git & Azure DevOps
Skilled in BDD/TDD testing using NUnit, FakeItEasy, SpecFlow.
Knowledge of message brokers (Azure Service Bus/RabbitMQ) and messaging patterns.
Familiar with CI/CD practices, DevOps culture, and automation in Azure DevOps (yaml pipelines).
Understanding of relational and NoSQL data architectures and technologies.
