Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Lead Technical Architect - SAS Viya to support large-scale architecture initiatives across public sector environments. This role will focus on designing and leading architecture solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures, with a strong emphasis on SAS Viya, Azure, ETL, data integration, and analytics technologies.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive architecture and technical leadership experience, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions while collaborating with delivery teams across agile, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies. This role also requires strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across technical and business functions.

What you will do:

• Design architecture solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Lead architecture activities involving networking, security, middleware, databases, presentation layers, and integration components.
• Develop and maintain architectural roadmaps aligned to long-term business and technology objectives.
• Collaborate with project delivery teams across agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and traceable technical solutions.
• Apply architectural principles, patterns, standards, and best practices across solution designs.
• Utilize architecture modelling techniques and tools to represent technical solutions effectively.
• Support data integration initiatives across ERP systems, CRM systems, IoT devices, and other disparate data sources.
• Design and support real-time data pipelines and batch processing solutions.
• Contribute to data warehousing, Data Lake, business intelligence, and analytics initiatives.
• Support analytics and MI reporting solutions using technologies such as Power BI.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to architects and cross-functional technical teams.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure architecture solutions align with compliance, governance, and security requirements.

• Active SC Clearance required.
• Strong experience with SAS Viya required.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure required.
• Experience with ETL processes and data integration required.
• Strong technical architecture experience across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments required.
• Experience designing enterprise-level integration and analytics solutions required.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, middleware, databases, and integration architecture required.
• Experience with architecture modelling tools and methodologies preferred.
• Experience with Power BI, Data Lakes, data warehousing, and analytics technologies preferred.
• Ability to lead technical teams and define long-term architectural roadmaps preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills required.
• Experience working within public sector environments preferred.
• SAS experience highly desired.
• Ability to complete additional vetting requirements required.
