Job Description - Lead Veterinary Nurse


Are you a passionate and experienced RVN ready to take the lead? Do you want a role where you can truly make a difference and put your full range of nursing skills to use? Telford clinic are looking for a Lead RVN to join their team.



As a lead nurse in Telford you will have shared responsibility for the clinics clinical and financial performance line manage a team of 2 RVN's, 2 SVN's.



Our Telford clinic is a well-equipped, modern facility featuring one theatre, four consult rooms, a dedicated diagnostic room, and a dental suite. This layout allows our team to deliver high-quality care in a supportive and efficient environment.

Key role responsibilities:




  • Able to carry out all aspects of nursing.

  • Actively encourage staff development, mentoring and best practice. 

  • Be experienced in carrying out 1-2-1 meetings with staff members.  

  • You will be a clinical coach or want to become a clinical coach with support. 

  • Have experience in rota management or be keen to develop this skillset. 

  • Happy to oversee clinic compliance such as Health and Safety and RCVS Practice Standards scheme criteria. 

  • Oversee stock management within the clinic. 

  • Carry out regular staff meetings.  

  • Have good commercial awareness with a tenacity to grow caseload, allowing more pets to access great, but affordable healthcare.  


Hours: 


40 hours


4 day week


Monday - Friday - No weekends
