SLR Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Leading Hand Installer to join our client on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business specialising in water and gas-tight duct sealing systems, working on major infrastructure, utilities and energy projects across the UK.

The Role

Working as part of a specialist installation team, you’ll take the lead on the day-to-day installation of NOFIRNO Water & Gas Tight Duct Sealing Systems, supporting the Installation Manager while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

This is a hands-on role combining technical installation with leadership responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring others while remaining actively involved on site.

The role involves travel to projects across the UK, with accommodation and subsistence provided when working away.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and support a small team of installers on site.

* Carry out the installation of NOFIRNO water and gas-tight duct sealing systems.

* Allocate daily tasks and maintain workflow across projects.

* Read and interpret technical drawings and installation details.

* Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and quality standards.

* Carry out quality inspections and maintain accurate installation records.

* Promote excellent health and safety standards across site.

* Liaise with clients, site management and other trades.

* Manage materials, tools and equipment effectively.

* Mentor less experienced installers and promote a “right first time” approach.

What We’re Looking For

* Previous installation experience within construction, utilities, infrastructure or specialist sealing systems.

* Experience leading or mentoring small teams.

* Ability to interpret technical drawings.

* Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.

* Strong communication and organisational skills.

* A proactive, hands-on approach with a commitment to safety and quality.

Desirable Qualifications

* CSCS Skilled Worker or Supervisor Card.

* SSSTS qualification.

* Experience on infrastructure, utilities or energy projects.

* Experience using digital QA systems such as OneTrace.

* Knowledge of water and gas-tight duct sealing systems would be advantageous, although relevant installation experience will also be considered.
