Job Description - Learner Progression Consultant
Momentum Training are seeking an experienced Learner Progression Consultant/Business Developerto work alongside the training team in ensuring that live and active jobs are sought after for our learners upon completion. We are looking for someone with the drive and desire to help our learners move into employment.
This could possibly be the perfect step for a recruitment consultant looking for a change, a call centre sales person looking to makea difference, BD person looking to sell something for free. This job requires positive proactive energy.
Understand and ensure team demonstrate knowledge of the eligibility criteria and programme offer for all of Momentumsfunded and commercial programmes to ensure a joined up offer to employers and stakeholders
Proactively promote through the team the offers to key and new stakeholders and employers across the Momentum Contracts.
Establishing, leading and undertaking robust stakeholder and community engagement activity leading to positive long-term relationships that result in consistent starts to Momentumsprogrammes and positive learner impact
Identification of key new referrals partners and employers, or partner and employer groups, leading on learner progressions with employers
Gather employer and sector intelligence to develop programme offer including emerging sectors/ skills
Actively contribute to business planning and performance monitoring to support agreement and delivery of targets
Contribute to the development and implementation of Momentumtrainings learner engagement and sales strategies
Analysis, circulation and action planning of regular MI, as agreed with line manager, to drive performance
Develop expertise of key employers, sectors and opportunities using these to drive innovation and growth
Work alongside Marketing to develop the relevant materials to support and drive exceeding targets
Keep up to date and report on Labour Market trends and requirements
Undertake necessary training to professionally develop and keep abreast with current practices and legislation within the sector, particularly those which may impact on compliance.
Maintain effective relationships with all internal colleagues to ensure services are delivered to an excellent standard that will maximise opportunities to provide added value programmes and services
Demonstration up to date understanding of all contracts, content and eligibility
Keep up to date with Government, LEP and sector developments and priorities
Skills and Experience
1 years experience from an employability/skills background
Proven track record in lead generation and sales closing
Used to working towards and hitting team and individual targets
Ability to build strong working relationships (internal/external)
Excellent communication skills
verbal and written
Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation
Knowledge of local labour markets, skills and growth plans and population/demographics
Knowledge of the FE sector, ESF and funded programmes
Interviews will be taking place over the next 2 weeks so availability for an initial teams call followed by a face to face.
