We’re looking for a passionate Learning and Development Specialist to design, deliver, and evaluate training initiatives across the business, from onboarding and leadership development to eLearning and change management.

Main Responsibilities (but are not limited to):

Training Design & Delivery

• Deliver engaging training sessions including face-to-face workshops, webinars, 1:1 coaching, and remote sessions.
• Develop and update high-quality training materials for internal use, including operational guides, workbooks, and onboarding packs.
• Conduct system training (1:1, group and mop-up sessions), supporting all new and existing employees in understanding practices and compliance.
• Conduct Train-the-Trainer (TTT) sessions to upskills our offshore Learning and Development Team, ensuring consistency in training delivery across departments and the wider group.
• Complete quality assessments on personal training delivery, reflect on feedback and outcomes, and proactively put forward improvement ideas to enhance learner experience and session effectiveness.

Content Creation & LMS Management

• Curate and develop interactive digital learning materials and eLearning modules using platforms such as Articulate and Docebo.
• Lead and support the ongoing revamp of Ruby Energy’s Learning Management System, ensuring an intuitive and user-friendly experience for all employees.
• Maintain, review and archive learning content to keep materials current and aligned with business needs.

Project & Change Support

• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver training support for key business initiatives including ESG integration, IIP accreditation, the Market Half-Hourly (Junifer) implementation, and other training projects.
• Work in partnership with change teams to ensure all training aligns with project goals and is delivered to the right people at the right time.

Management & Leadership Development

• Assist in the rollout of management and leadership training programmes, including 1to1 and appraisal training. •
• Provide coaching and upskilling opportunities for managers to enhance leadership capability and team performance.

Wider Business & Group Support

• Provide training support across the wider Ruby Group, including Ruby Energy and SCH, ensuring consistent onboarding, learning delivery and development opportunities.
• Adapt training approaches to meet the needs of various teams and business functions across locations.

Operational & Induction Support

• Lead onboarding sessions for new starters, ensuring a smooth and informative induction experience. •
• Create bespoke training plans and resources tailored to department-specific needs and performance goals

Apprenticeship & Early Carees Support

• Support the development and coordination of the apprenticeship training programme, including scheduling, admin, and mentoring.
• Help nurture a positive learning environment for apprentices and junior staff, supporting their professional growth.

Requirements to be considered

Essential skills & Experience

• Proven experience in training delivery and content creation across various mediums
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a confident facilitation style
• Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience working with an LMS and developing digital content
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Passion for learning, development and employee engagement

Desirable

• Experience using Articulate or similar eLearning authoring tools
• Previous experience in the utilities, energy or sales sector
• Understanding of ESG processes.
• Teaching or training qualification (e.g., CIPD, PTLLS, AET)
• Experience supporting Investors in People or similar accreditation processes
